Hongyu Shang (Chief Executive Officer): Dr. Shang received his B.S. in finance and Ph.D. in human resource management from Nanjing University. Dr. Shang has more than 10 years experience in the area of investment and corporate management.
Greg Wang (Chief Scientific Officer): Dr. Wang received his B.S. degree in chemistry from Nanjing University, and his Ph.D. degree in bioorganic chemistry and natural product synthesis from Case Western Reserve University. After two years of post-doctoral training at the renowned Scripps Research Institute with Professor Barry Sharpless, winner of the 2001 Nobel Prize in chemistry, he began his professional career with Pfizer where he was leading the chemical development of clinical supplies for several new oncology experimental medicines. Dr. Wang is familiar with the principles and general practices of pharmaceutical research and development, especially chemical process development, regulatory CMC, cGMP compliance and manufacture, and quality assurance.
Jeffrey Li (Head of Manufacture): Mr. Li received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Nanjing University of Chemical Engineering. He has more than twenty years of industrial experiences in pharmaceutical production.

K. Barry Sharpless (Advisor, Science and Technology): Professor Sharpless is the W. M. Keck Professor of Chemistry at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, one of the premier research institutes in the world. He has 40 years of experience in organic and bio-organic chemistry research and has published more than 350 peer reviewed papers, patents and publications. In 2001, Professor Sharpless was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work in the field of asymmetric catalysis. He is an elected fellow and member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the National Academy of Sciences, and the Royal Society of Chemistry, Great Britain (honorary). In addition to the Nobel Prize, Professor Sharpless has also received numerous awards and distinctions, including an honorary Professorship at Nanjing University.
Shuming Zhao (Advisor, Management): Dr. Zhao is the Dean of Business School at Nanjing University. He received his Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and Human Resource Management from Claremont Graduate University, Claremont, California in 1990. After his graduate studies, Dr. Zhao returned to China to begin his distinguished career. Over the years, Dr. Zhao has won numerous awards and distinctions including Lead Scholar of Chinese Corporate Management Research, Vice Chairman of Chinese Association of Human Resource Research, President of International Association of Chinese Management Research (IACMR), and Board of Directors for several international and Chinese companies. Dr. Zhao’s stature and influence in the Chinese business community, as well as his experiences and guidance, will be invaluable to the growth of Anyuan Pharmaceuticals.
